Clearwater Beach is perfect for families. From vast stretches of sugar-white sand to warm Gulf waters, this beach is close to attractions and activities that are fun for all ages.

This includes the vibrant food scene. You have a multitude of eateries to choose from while you kick back and enjoy the ocean views and kid-friendly menus.

Read this list of the best family-friendly restaurants Clearwater Beach has to offer.

FRENCHY’S ROCKAWAY GRILL

For a great family meal, you can’t go wrong at a Frenchy’s restaurant, of which there are 4.

First timers should definitely try Frenchy’s Rockaway Grill, located on the north side of Clearwater Beach . You’ll enjoy al fresco dining on the spacious beachfront deck, inches away from the white sand. Frenchy’s is renowned for fresh seafood, so kick things off with a cup of flavorful She Crab Soup, then chase it down with a legendary Super Grouper sandwich, prepared any way you like. Grab a table early to watch the sun set while you eat.

Frenchy's Rockaway Grill is the perfect beach restaurant in Clearwater, Florida.

COOTERS

Named after a species of turtle found in Florida, this fun, come-as-you-are eatery is just 2 blocks from Clearwater Beach. Voted Best Florida-Style Restaurant 7 years in a row, Cooters is a staple of the area.

With a family-friendly atmosphere, rustic-chic décor, and welcoming staff, Cooters is a standout choice. And if you like seafood, you’ve hit the jackpot.

Popular menu items include succulent Snow Crab Legs, Signature Stuffed Mahi Mahi, sizzling steaks, and tangy ribs. Little ones love the kid’s menu, with meals served on a take-home Frisbee.

All this, plus affordable prices, makes it easy to see why Cooters is a Clearwater favorite.

HEILMAN’S BEACHCOMBER

This Clearwater Beach dining landmark has been serving beachgoers since 1948. Heilman’s Beachcomber offers fabulous food at reasonable prices.

“It’s the place where grandparents bring their grandchildren, after bringing their own children while they were growing up,” reported Sheri Heilman, of her family’s business.

Clear Sky Café

This beachside café has something for everyone, from gourmet pizza to fresh seafood. The Clear Sky Café offers breakfast, lunch, and dinner along with some live music. The breakfast menu has a great kid’s section on it with lots of options, including M&M pancakes!
